Delete your JennAI account

This page applies to the JennAI resident app for Android (package us.jennai.app) and for iOS, and to the JennAI resident web portal. It explains how to ask us to delete your account, and exactly what is deleted and what is kept.

Request deletion without signing in

You do not need the app installed, and you do not need to sign in. Email privacy@jennai.us with the subject line "Delete my JennAI account" and include the email address or phone number on the account, so we can find it. A person reads that mailbox; we will confirm by reply before anything is switched off, and again when it is done.

Or delete it from inside the iPhone app

If you have the app on iPhone, open your account settings and choose Delete account. Your login is switched off right away; everything else follows the timeline below. The Android app does not yet offer in-app deletion — on Android, use the email route above.

What is deleted, what is kept, and when

You can request account deletion by email, or from inside the iPhone app under your account settings (the Android app does not yet offer in-app deletion — email us instead). Here is exactly what happens, so there are no surprises:

  • Immediately: your login is switched off and you are signed out on every device.
  • After 30 days: your login identity is permanently erased — your sign-in credentials, saved sessions, passkeys, device push tokens, and saved app preferences.
  • Retained: your resident records — contact details, lease, rent ledger, maintenance history, and communications — are kept, because your property management company needs them for the lease and for financial and legal obligations. Deleting your login does not delete your tenancy records.

Staff accounts are managed by the organization and cannot be self-deleted from the app; contact your administrator.

How long each kind of record is kept is set out in our Data Retention Policy. The full Privacy Policy covers everything else we collect and why. Because your property management company is the controller of your tenancy information, we may pass your request to them so they can act on it.
